  1. I’ve been studying the philosophy of ancient Stoics to gain clarity. We can only control our own minds and choices. We don’t have to have the answers or be right. This has helped me refrain from online banter. It’s hard! So I protest in other ways. Calling elected officials, signing petitions, etc.

    1. Oh, wonderful! I’m sure you’ve enjoyed your studies. Yes, exactly, we can only control our thoughts and actions, and sometimes, depending on our physical state, even that can be difficult. Think clearly, act accordingly, and find comfort as best you can – that’s my motto! Online bickering is such a waste of time! The only time I try to speak up is just to share facts, not engage in personal attacks. And yes, activism is something we should all be engaged in. It’s our civic duty, I think.

  2. I try not to direct my rage at people and instead point it toward situations or circumstances…. at least in my private life. When looking at the nation’s politics and leaders I’m afraid I am less restrained!!
