In The Zone

I never knew
how comfortable
I could feel in my skin
until I heard you

You’re like a muse
I feel like I belong
here
in this moment

with you
your voice
your music
your knowledge

How did I get so lucky
to have stumbled upon you
to finally feel more
to be me

  1. Susi a lovely poem! A sort of ode to your muse… I escaped developing the mental fog that often comes with long-COVID. Instead I got a heart murmur and a recurring cough! I’m hoping it slowly improves (The doctor thinks my murmur is getting better) but the cough resurfaces any time I get a little cold!

      1. Thanks Susi! I caught a bug (not COVID or Influenza or RSV) that has reactivated the cough. I’m still trying to shake it. I feel fine but I’m no longer a soprano – I’m singing with the Basses…
