the meditative state we’re not aware of
restores our mind’s energy
from the day previous
whether colorful or black & white
the journey inward
feels necessary yet strange
the story usually varies
as well as the characters introduced
but the theme may resonate as familiar
does it solve a great question
or just contribute to more
regardless, our brain seems to need it

Really enjoyed this poem!!

Lovely poem!
That’s so true… The themes I remember often seem familiar as if the intricacies of reality have been passed on to the dream world. But most often, I couldn’t seem to recall my dreams.

Exactly! And that has happened to me too, but if it is a meaningful, or at least feels meaningful to me, I always try to go back and focus on the content. I think it helps me then be able to understand why it even occurred. Thanks so much, Anisha!

Susi that is so often how a dream works… and sometimes we wake and remember the answer but often we can’t recall the question let alone the answer!!

Beautiful poem, Susi. Funnily enough I can never seem to remember my dreams when I wake up!

Thanks so much, Shweta! Sometimes I wish I wouldn’t remember them either. While they are entertaining, I wake up to a dream whether it’s in the morning or in the middle of the night. It gets to be a lot sometimes.
