Inspired by Moonwashed Weekly Prompt – Everydayness &
Reena’s Xploration Challenge #355
longing for downtime
from the vivid hysteria
and the overtone of potential violence
may everydayness return soon
for my psyche is exhausted, actually
from the constant undertone of mayhem
may i be fortunate to hear
the refreshing whispers of the seaside
while becoming more and more subdued

So realistic, Susi. Amen to your wish, dear.

The new normal. We have to deal with change or the weight of frustration will bear down.

Yep, you’re not wrong! It can be very oppressive if we don’t figure out how to navigate with the changes. Thanks for reading!

I want normal to persist after the change over happens – but I refuse to be subdued!

Oh yes, me too! But I meant subdued as more at peace in a beautiful place. Thanks for reading, Val!

Ah. I guess with the ideals of Project 2025 floating around I am hypersensitive to certain words… even if their intended meaning is different!

I totally understand that! No worries, Val. :)

Absolutely right. After all this exhausting time, the campaign, the speeches, the anticipation and finally the results that weren’t what most people expected- it’s time to have some normalcy in life again. A relaxing time by the beach sounds just perfect.
