The mysterious figure in the alleyway dropped a note as they ran up the mottled stone staircase, fleeing the approaching local police. I grabbed the small piece of paper and quickly put it into my coat pocket before the cops saw I had taken possession. Was this my contact? Once I had read the note’s contents, I would determine that.

I needed to get away from prying eyes. Walking briskly, I found a nook where I could safely extract the paper. Hopefully, I would get the information I required to escape the city that day. Hitler’s assassination was at stake.
