Today’s Hunger Games

There’s magic in feeling hope; the dark shadows of your mind part to allow in the light—holy guacamole, feeling that spark of wanting to live again is glorious! I smile at the peaceful birds up in the sky, floating around a fluffy cloud. Reflecting on the cross I had to bear, I could only feel resentment and despair. But now, choosing to go beyond my dour feelings, my mind is clear like the water I would scoop up into my hand from a well. I’m feeling languid and not restless anymore. The opening of the games will fare better now.
