Zen Gardening

I am the weed
you thought you plucked
Grown from the seed
of something tucked
deep in your mind
as if designed
to bloom in doom

My Finest Hour

My finest hour
has not occurred
which may seem dour
but’s not absurd
For I hope still
what’s coming will
be better yet

Unimportance

I changed my mind
but no one cared
which undermined
what I’d prepared
Hedging my bet
saying “Not yet”
helped me to see

Withering Lows

Withholding doubt
within the frame
Staying without
a withdrawn shame
Strongly withstand
forthwith demands
to go with flow

Scamming the Cream

The world’s full of
mindless wonders
rising above
thoughtless blunders
It’s sadly clear
how we got here
The “buts” “now what”

Out With a Bang

With loud dissent
and selfish need
the slow descent
is gaining speed
Shadowy sounds
in the surrounds
don’t care what’s there

Winning Tactics

What will you gain?
Is it worth it
inflicting pain
to not forfeit?
In friendship’s quest
sometimes it’s best
to choose to lose.

So, maybe not

Is it beyond
the realm of dreams
where you’d respond
to aught but screams?
Though on the fritz
remember it’s
no sin to win.
