She heard a voice in her head, but it wasn’t her own. It had a very distinct masculine tone. How very queer, she thought to herself. The uniqueness of this situation was a bit unsettling to her. Avery began to feel differently, too, as a rage swept through her body, filling her up, almost like being eaten alive. She realized too late that she was playing with fire, participating in the ancient rituals.

Then she heard, “You will be mine forever!” followed by a maniacal laugh.

The possession was complete; the demon was pleased. He would again walk the earth.
