panic feels like being squeezed
your life constricted
with an implosion imminent
help seems distant
elusive
existence questioned

This poem I really resonate with! I hate that panicky feeling, xoxo

Panic has this effect. Hope we all learn to calm ourselves by various means available to us.

Indeed! I fear though with what’s going on the world, only more and more will appear. :(

True with more and more people falling into the trap. And none addressing to their mental states.

The snow has stifled all sounds. As it continues to fall, it is compressing and squeezing out all air – I can so relate to this one Susi!!

Sometimes consciously, but for some, it’s just their bodies taking control. Thank you, Diana!

I used to have anxiety attacks when I was in my late thirties. I guess I’ve grown out of them because I haven’t had one in years. They are scary.

I’m glad that you have! I feel like I’ve always had anxiety but it got way worse in my early 30s. I wish I could say I have outgrown them, but at least I’ve found ways to feel better. Yes, very scary! Thanks for commenting, Eugenia!

My pleasure, Susi. I feel the anxiety attacks come and go as we age, and also depends on what is going on around us.
