Campbell felt frail, trying to feign strength, struggling to frame the perfect shot; this phase of his life was challenging. Suddenly, a flame erupted from the barrel of his gun, proving fatal for his target. Approaching his fallen prey, he noticed tiny flakes of ice crystals had begun to fall. It was a bittersweet moment, celebrating his success while watching the beast’s life fade, reminding him of a fable he’d read as a child. This kill would bring him fame, but the freight of his actions weighed on his conscience. Yet he couldn’t deny the favor it bestowed upon him.
