not everyone is built for equilibrium
they can’t cut themselves off from their emotions
or contain the swells that rise

or balance
or navigate
or handle
or deal

they are tossed
to and fro
at the whim of life’s hand of cards

to barely manage
to maybe keep their nose above water
to consistently ask for a lifeline

not everyone is built of the tough stuff
it wasn’t modeled or gifted
try to remember not everyone has had it easy

  7. Well written blog post Susi. I agree that not everyone has had it easy. Some didn’t grow with a silver spoon in their mouths, they had to sweat to get the life they dreamed of. Nice image inserted in the front of this blog too⭐💯

    1. I think that’s why I despise the sayings “Everything happens for a reason” and “God will never give you more than you can handle.” If that were true, why do so many humans crack under pressure?
