Fast. It all goes by so fast. Because it’s a full life, or does time just work that way? And why is there so much to deal with?
Life is so convoluted
So much it seems to do
We forget to care for ourselves
And breaks that are too few
Sometimes for a moment
Take a look around
So much wasted motion
In tasks that will abound
Simplify the mundane things
That eat into our life
Placed aside for a little while
To free you from your strife
What I once was
do you remember
before life took hold
having its way with me
With eyes wide open
I followed the example
and no one told me
the costs in this life
Used up and broken
I lay by the wayside
trying to explain
to others, of the pain
