For starters, August was hot! lol But I made it through with an air conditioner, fans, skimpy clothes, and ice cream. :)
During my downtime, I had the pleasure of watching two adorable cats. Meet Mocha and Nutmeg! We enjoyed each other’s company very much. Low maintenance, sweet, and cuddly!
While this was my official month of relaxation, I did quite a bit of reading. I was able to get caught up on the backlog of WP posts I had and made a huge dent in Kindle and three paperbacks I’d brought with me. In addition, I started on The Short of It submissions. Amazing writing! You guys will love the features next year. Just so you are aware, to date, I’ve received more than 50% of the features for next year in the first TWO MONTHS of this submission cycle. It definitely looks like I will be closing it earlier this year, so if you haven’t yet gotten in your work, DO IT ASAP!
You might be thinking, “Susi, you did a lot of work!” I’m good. Reading is soothing for me. Trust me, I got tons of relaxation. :)
One very exciting thing I did for myself this month was to get a new tattoo. About two weeks ago, I saw an image that absolutely floored me and immediately wanted to get inked. Ta-da! This is highly usual for me to rush to get a tattoo of something. Usually, I “create” my vision, but this image just encapsulated the concept so beautifully – all love, always – something I hope for the world on a daily basis. Bonus – it’s so colorful!
I’m officially back and ready to dive right back in!

lol No, I’m good. Have had my share of pets over the years, I kinda like not being responsible for them 24/7, only temporarily on these house sits. It’s like being a grandparent. :)
