I was initially shattered into a million pieces finding out that Jake split up with me before I could call him. What kind of jerk announces to his followers on his Twitch stream that I was history? What a dim bulb he was to do something like this! My gaze becomes menacing as I imagine wicked things, and my intention drifts in even worse ways. There were no words, only emotions. With my armpits damp, I began to hatch a plan. The poisons I collected mingled well, and the spell I concocted should do the trick.
Shallow man, be gone!

Love this, Susi!

Marking this with your ceremony puts you in control of your life.

I’m not sure I understand. This piece is fiction, Jasper.

For the fictional character, the ‘spell’ is the ceremony in which she takes charge rather than seeing herself as the victim.
(Does that make sense?)

When you put it like that, yes. I thought you were thinking this was a story about me. But you are correct, may we always be our own heroes! Thanks for clarifying!

When I write, the line between fiction and my reality is purposely blurred. I’ll write about a third person but use the first person voice. Reserving the right to take liberties.
