I had the desire, just like the chickens, to take flight. Cleaning the coop was a dirty job, what with the feathers everywhere. I tried to keep calm and continued to drive onward with my task. What a sight I was! Beyond filthy would be an apt description. I then heard a bell chime, spinning me around toward its sound. Sadly, I saw it was just the arrogant foreman in the guise of what I presumed was my replacement. Gosh, darn it!
May he please relieve me, though? “Hope springs eternal,” they say as I open the chicken co0p door.

Love your use of the words!
