what happened to our heat
you filled me with an ache
who would have thought you’d cheat
it was almost our death
as i began to hate
thanks, teach
i’ll never forget the date
i’ll never forget the act
on my heart it’s etched
as i detach
what happened to our heat
you filled me with an ache
who would have thought you’d cheat
it was almost our death
as i began to hate
thanks, teach
i’ll never forget the date
i’ll never forget the act
on my heart it’s etched
as i detach
Nice art ❤

Unfortunately there are some things a relationship can never mend from and cheating and really ruin a relationship. Beautiful poem.

Detachment is never easy
..it leaves the bits of root in the depths of our hearts…remember to dig them out too…but it bleeds…and pains even more… Liked the poem…🤜🤛🙏👍👍

Very true, Sundaram! And I would agree with the left over bits, they can fester for years making us uneasy about reopening wounds, potentially making the pain worse. But you are right, healing and recovery only fully happen when we’ve dealt with the source of our pain. Thank you!
