Once
I was
young and fresh.
Now, old and wise
as the damn patina covers my youth.
Inspired by Eugi’s Weekly Prompt – Patina – December 30, 2019
The word reminds me of how we don’t necessarily age gracefully or completely intact with the inner vision of ourselves. :)
Thanks, Eugenia!
Old and wise is all well and good but I wouldn’t mind going back a little and being a tad younger and more foolish!

I’d like to be wise with a bod of a 20 year old! #GOALS

I can’t seem to get the patina out of my beard. Great work!

LOL I don’t know, green’s not so bad! ;) Glad you enjoyed this piece, Bartholomew. :)

I too am old, but if being wise is only a patina, maybe I should go for something with more meat on its bones. I’ve got it — I’m a wise-ass!

No, no! Aged looking is the patina! Being a wise-ass is the wisdom. ;)
