nonsense, no lessons learned
wisdom seldom comes
to those know it all
nothing of value gained
predictions of remorse
for the innocence
ready to be sullied by life
or will they learn
from this generation
of pomposity

Yes, it is an interesting question. I wonder how many of our generation learned the lessons of our parents? I did to some extent, but would have fared better if I had learned more.

I think we learn some as a whole collective but as individuals, there’s still much to be learned I think.
