Seems more like the speaker is marooned in limbo, with only the hope of escaping it someday, hence the obligation to see days through so that maybe that day comes before the fleeting hope vanishes into nothingness, like everything else in the limbo.
Can’t see any connection with today for the speaker.
I’d like to know how you think about it though. 🙂
There are days that seem heavier than others but we must get through them – daily responsibilities, commitments – feeling weary is sometimes just a part of it. In other words, rest or ease can’t come soon enough. I could imagine that feels like being in limbo because you’re not fully engaged in the day, only hoping it ends. Thanks for your thoughts. 🙂
Awesome!
