There are times when I think Altruism is fading away from humanity but time to time we have stood together in the face of great adversities like the floods that happened in my city chennai in 2015. The entire city was havoced by waters and people lost their home and property. Food, electricity everything lost. Yet the things I saw, how temples and malls opened their gates for shelter, how the entire state collected relief materials, how hundreds of volunteers risked their own life to save others..it gives me hope :)
Yeah, when tragedies occur, it seems the empathy rises. I’m grateful for that but day to day kindness and intelligent compassion feels lacking. We could be progressing faster and helping more if that were a daily concern. Thanks for stopping! :)
