Random Encounters

And just like that, I have a new friend.

Two strangers on different paths, both cementing a business arrangement. It produced a pleasant encounter, each enjoying the connection made.

It’s delightful to meet someone I can feel at ease with. For me, it happens rarely.

Those few people who look at life with enthusiasm and curiosity plant a kernel of positivity in me. They enthusiastically force me to engage again. And they are invested in their lives on a scale which most people dare not even tread.

I like that. A lot.

Those are my kind of people. Rare, and precious.

You

Birth delivers an unknown entity and life begins, yet again. You start to exist.

The business of life is to evolve you to your best form. The goal is to reach a physical peak and then head to the inevitable conclusion.

During your stay, your personality or the essence of you continues to be shaped by the experiences, tools, and influences along the way.

Daring to live requires enhancing it; doing it your way requires courage.

I hope you find the joy in it along the way.

Life Is Deaf

Crying out in an I Don’t Care World.
The answer is silence. Crickets…

It doesn’t pay attention; life continues.

Understand that. Know it.
Try not to feel hurt by it.
Keep moving… one foot in front of the other.

Strength can come again. Just let it.
Don’t let the indifference of life determine if you’ll accept it.

Keep speaking despite the obvious disability of existence.
The beauty comes when you hear the truth you need.

In reality, life is not the teacher.
But you must be a willing student.

You’re Here!

May your emerging innocence lead you to knowledge.

When you learn, may you want to know more.

If you hurt, may it only be for a moment.

As you laugh, may you always remain joyous for longer.

May you live intensely and love just as fierce.

are my lessons.
Sentience is my total existence.

Foundation of Dreams

With deliberate intention, the goal was to devour thousands of words. He reveled in the delicious anticipation of cerebral and sentimental fulfillment. Focused and ready for some relevant adscititious information to challenge his brain’s hunger for knowledge and fantasy. The emotions of the poets forcefully laid down impressions on his mind. Hours passed immersed in the stories and written essences of others. It colored him happy. And tired. The eyes slowly closed. All the words turned to dreams of mystical sunsets with a bareback unicorn ride on the beach, hair whipping in the wild wind.

Then he woke up smiling.

I’m Scared

Reaching in you’ll see it’s hard to find me.

I’m a discovery to be accessed when my psyche is at ease.

When I see you mean me no harm,

I’ll surround you like quicksand.

You’ll be immersed, enveloped by who I am.

You haven’t even begun to uncover what I want to give you.

Damaged

Not one of us isn’t screwed up.
The only difference is how many scars life left inside us.

Begin again with every lesson learned.

Try out a new skin of knowledge.

Become whole.

Just do.

Give Children Their Voice

Respect doesn’t come easily to youth’s life experience in progress. We put them in their place…

Shut up, youngin’.

What do they know, right?

Shaming leads to silence. It leads to rage. Don’t do that.

A well thought out opinion deserves an audience, even if only one is there to receive it.

Contributions of spoken information are the right of any individual, young or old.
Let’s hear it all.

Encouraging communication honors the conviction of the orator. Let them learn, respect their effort. Challenge the thought process, if it requires it, but let them speak.

Embrace their courage, honor their thoughts. Let them talk.

Their experience, their journeys will shape future discussions, better lives possibly.

All humans feel valuable to others and especially themselves when they are accepted.

Respect their language and their self-expression.

Let them become adults who are heard.
