EQUITY
smash the sky
bring down stars to earth
break apart
day and night
meet them in twilight – create
level playing grounds
RELEVANCE
how often do we
live in simulated worlds
of our own making
chasing manifestation
of now irrelevant dreams
PAIN
pain
is when
my body
yearns to get back home
to its natural state; but soon
after my memory of pain revives it again
CONNECTIVITY
Now
why not
relinquish
outdated past
let present breathe free?
-for it gains relevance
only when connecting threads
weave stories with beads of moments
to be preserved for posterity
to be counted by fingers that matter
MATURITY
I knew it
I’m no longer young
When he’s in
awe of me
feeling changed to suspicion
of his insecurity
I know now
inane attacks will
follow to
soothe a bruised
ego – competence will be
shown as aggression
mature minds
bond with mutual
respect; awe
has no place
where competence is equal
thoughts compatible
