Inspired by Reena’s Exploration Challenge #268 & Moonwashed Weekly Prompt – Sweetheart
a kaleidoscope of questions
forces discussion of private matters
who can i sleep with
what makes a woman
who may i love
what makes a man
why are bathrooms controversial
can’t everyone just mind their own business
i just want to be able to call you my sweetheart
Wow! This is so apt. I agree people should mind their own business. Private matters are just that – private! Excellent take on the prompts!

Americans are way too obsessed with sex–especially other people’s. (K)

Tell me about it! I was born in Germany and lived there 8 years. Obsessed with something they are totally mortified by! “Verklempt” is what we called Americans. Not all mind you, and it’s changing some, but many of them are.

I can’t imagine the pain of loving someone and not being allowed to love them. I like your take on this.

Thank you, Ali! Yes, it is absolutely ridiculous, IMO. And none of anyone’s business!

I once happened to see a bunch of male dogs surround a female on heat in this manner. She held the final choice of acceptance or rejection. Your poem reminded me of that scene.
