invisible drama
not acknowledged
outsiders only see camouflage
but the damage
dispensed from previous generations
lingers deep
self-preservation from the ugliness
slows the hurt
but offers no resolution
only a temporary roadblock
to the pain buried inside
which will surface
eventually…
