aching and tired
pulling from nothingness
stretched beyond breaking

icy snow falls
it’s cold and wet
sandy white beaches beckon

new hope emerges
imagining a better day
capturing a moment of bliss

And this one triggered a memory – the first time we traveled to Pensacola Beach. It was mid January and it was cold (about 45F) but the wind off the ocean was fierce making it feel even colder. As we drove I was grumping about the snow – only to discover it was white sand!! I’d never seen sand so white – white as snow!!
