The team’s last exquisitely landed shot confirmed victory, lifting the crowd to their feet, pumping their fists, and shouting their approval for that magnificent effort.

The cheerleaders were ecstatic, realizing the win. The crowd went wild and shrill as the girls were thrown higher into the air.

A sharp crack in the air set off an unfortunate series of events. With blood oozing blood from her head wound, the popular cheerleader went limp and dropped. The distracted young man below her took the full force of her body, breaking his neck, killing him instantly.

The shooter was not a fan.
