you can squawk louder
hit harder
shame more aggressively
but does it get you what you want
opposition forces reel you in
slap you down
force your acquiescence
you’ve lost when you’re the one off balance
you can squawk louder
hit harder
shame more aggressively
but does it get you what you want
opposition forces reel you in
slap you down
force your acquiescence
you’ve lost when you’re the one off balance

Wonderful poem Susi. Yes, staying in balance means maintaining one’s composure when all around is loosing theirs…”and blaming it on you” Nicely penned piece, reminds me of Kipling’s “If”

Thanks so much, Suzette! That is indeed a wonderful compliment if it reminds you of Kipling’s work. β€ Glad you enjoyed it. π
