my heart bleeds
so i refrain from you
i shed silent tears
that lead to convulsions
the dream is dead
only alive in a picture frame
where space and time is paused
when did your love recede from me
i seem to have done the same
our faces buried in a tv screen
as we continue to lean further into oblivion
we lost the game in the final inning
now we’re just a ball and chain
Wow, that is a powerful piece Susi, sad in many ways but nice work. Too many people can probably relate to this piece. Hugs, Joni

well written with a voice of rawness that grabs and shakes one to their senses.

Thank you so much! If only it would grab and shake one particular individual. Alas, I don’t think he can.

Full of reflective thoughts, and I loved this line ..

This is not pulling any punches! A sad story but perhaps a cautionary tale for some….
