A stranger within me
emerges unannounced
threatens to engulf
my whole being
scatter me like ashes
all over the landscape

where was this spark hidden
for a lifetime?
unbeknownst to me
keeping me bound
In cages I did not choose
underestimating
a power
which can change the world…

Now that the mirror
speaks the truth
I will not break it
but block external influence
from clouding vision
once again…
