it was outrage
validating your feelings
but forgiveness tells you
the fury’s no longer needed
the anger felt like a best friend
your shield
who can now leave your side
because she knows you got this
letting it go
feeling yourself lift
becoming unburdened from the past
a healing has begun
Beautifully written ♥️

You’ve written it so well Susi! Anger is indeed a burden. Better free of it.

❤ Thank you, Sadje! While it can be useful, being mired in it is not. 🙂

Jaw-dropping and thought-provoking opening stanza, Susi! It stands on its own yet continues to evolve into the rest of this poem. Forgiveness is a force to be reckoned with.
