If You Love Her
If you love her, don’t just tell her,
Show her.
Watch the Hallmark Channel with her.
Do the laundry. Fold the clothes.
Wash and dry the dishes and put them away.
Tell her how beautiful she is. Dance with her
in the living room. Send her love songs on Facebook.
Tell her how much you appreciate all she does for you.
For your home. For your animals.
Tell her again.
Listen to her. Let your arms be a place she feels safe in.
Care about her feelings. Tell her over and over so she never forgets.
She’s the best thing that you will ever have. She will
love you if you love her.
On days when it feels like the whole
world might cave in, listen to her heart and be with her.

Many times we fail to voice our emotions assuming that the other person already knows, not knowing the significance of telling those we love that we love them no matter how many times we’ve said it before. This is a powerful reminder. Thanks.
