VJ’s Weekly Challenge #105 – Quotation
Hey, neighbors, I see you there in my cabinets,
rummaging and sniffing out your next meal.
But I don’t remember inviting you.
You’re really cute with that beautiful shade
of soft-looking brown. That tiny little nose,
itsy-bitsy ears, and long tail you drag behind.
But have I mentioned, it’s not very neighborly
of you to dine on my food without a “may I”,
then leaving your droppings as a gift?
“A good neighbor is a fellow who smiles at you over the back fence, but doesn’t climb over it.” Arthur Baer
“All will concede that in order to have good neighbors, we must also be good neighbors. That applies in every field of human endeavor.” Harry S. Truman

Fabulous, Susi. You made me smile, remembering the little intruders we’ve had over the years 🙂

Real mice don’t often ask for permission or respect boundaries. I’m hoping this was not fiction based on experience!

LOL No, they don’t! Sadly, completely experienced and pretty extensive too. We’ve had to find all the ways they were getting in, lay traps and lose a lot of food in the process! Once they got in, it was difficult to rid ourselves of them. I guess it’s a trade off for living in the country. 🙂

This took me back to days, living in the country, when mice took up residence in our house. I often had conversations with them, inviting them to leave. Lol. Thanks for the smile.

We live in a very rural area of Kansas and have had many run-ins with these little guys! 😉 Glad it made you reminisce and smile. 🙂
