“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women are players.
They have their entries and exits” famously said Shakespeare.
life’s timeline listed
in the various stages
of a mediocre existence
a simplistic description
by an extraordinary dramatist
of being during simpler times
he writes of societal norms
and average lives
like they were all just average people
those times seem uneventful
if he were alive today
what would he write now
I think if he came back he’d first demand all the royalties due him which would of course turn him into an instant trionnaire! He’d buy Trump Tower rename it Shakespeare’s Place and proceed to write a history/tragedy “King Trump I.” 🙂

If he were alive today, what would Shakespeare write now: “Life is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying TRUMP.”

An amazing observation and an interesting question! I would have loved to read Shakespeare’s works in modern times!
I am sure the nitty-gritty of our lives after the pandemic would be on his priority list! 😛

I always wonder what people from the past would think if they were transported forward.

The word players would’ve been replaced by tax payers 😁

Reminds me of an old tale. If you lose your job it’s a recession
If I lose my job it’s a depression.

He would have skipped stories of rulers and focussed on the common man and woman 😀😀
