something
someone
please
push me
over the edge
of my disillusionment
to something
to someone
inspiring
propelling me
to care
again
back to being in awe
back to wanting more
back to love
it’s empty here
something
someone
please
push me
over the edge
of my disillusionment
to something
to someone
inspiring
propelling me
to care
again
back to being in awe
back to wanting more
back to love
it’s empty here

The most awful space I’ve ever experienced in my life. I lost the will to live. I had no hope and no care. Such a lovely piece Susi.. loved it❤

Thank you, Precious! ❤ Yes, these times are almost difficult to describe, but there are those of us who get it. Glad you are not in the same place anymore.

A haiku for you
Find a quiet stream- Sitting nicely on its banks- Casting woes and stones-
For peaceful moments-
Align our soulful delight-
With silent solace-
Enjoy each day with a moment just for you.

Beautiful Susi. I love the place your words send me too. I think depression is a language too many of us speak.

Thank you, Candice. Your feedback gives me chills! I’m sure not every writer has dealt with depression but it seems like a recurring theme in much of what we express.

Your poems touch reader’s mind deeply, Susi. I have a question for you. I’ve been nominated for Sunshine Blogger Award, and I need to nominate other bloggers in my choice. Would it be okay with you if I nominate you for Sunshine Blogger Award? If yes, let me know and read the rules at https://kathyscrafts.blog/2019/01/04/the sunshine blogger-award/

Awwwww, thank you so much for that, Byung! I’m so touched by your kind words. Congratulations on the nomination!! I am honored that you thought of me but I would ask not to be nominated at this time. Since I’ve published this last book, I’ve been working a rather rigid schedule to attain the goals I’ve set for myself in the next few months. I hope you understand. ❤

So sad, yet beautifully written. I’m sure many of us have been there. It’s an awful space, isn’t it?

Thank you, Tony! You are so right. It is an awful place. Like a forced indecision that leads to nothingness, and you have no control over it. Depression is similar as you feel weighted down but it’s worse because you just continue downward into a black hole. This feeling is almost worse in that you feel all the same things as depression but add to that wanting a possibility of hope which doesn’t come through. You never quite get there.

You summed it up perfectly, Susi. That’s exactly what it’s been like for me at various low points in my life. It’s not something I’d wish on even my worst enemies.
